These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I get shin pain due to poor calf muscles. I wore my Chacos in Seattle, went up and down the stadium steps for two Mariner's games, walked around downtown Seattle and had horrible shin pain. I wore these for one day, to school, going from meeting to meeting, sitting for a bit and walking a bit and my shin pain is gone!! I could actually feel my calf muscles working. They are so light weight, very comfortable, no wear-in time (maybe a little discomfort with elastic strap if you have a really wide foot and a little rubbing on the back heel) I am amazed by these shoes and would highly recommend them to anyone with feet, ankle, leg problems. If you have a narrow foot they probably run too big. My feet tend to be wide and they fit great in a B width.
