 Beautiful Watch but... January 9, 2009

I really love the look and functionality of this watch. I have pretty small wrists and when I took it to a watch shop to have the band adjusted there was not a good compromise between too tight and too loose. The links are relatively large, so it would be nice if there was a finer adjustment in the clasp area.
It's also a bit on the heavy/bulky side, which wasn't necessarily apparent from the pics on amazon. Although that's a minor issue.

This watch slayed me when I saw it in the Fossil outlet. I had already splurged on a Movado, but I saw this one and had to have it too. (Watch [...]? Who knows.) Anyway, this has quickly become a favorite for daily wear to the office. It is definitely a head turner. What I love about it is that it's not as heavy as my other Twist-movement watch, even though the size is comparable.
Ignore comments about this watch not keeping accurate time if not worn constantly - the only part of this watch that is "Twist" is the second-hand dial on the left, which is powered by body motion. The actual watch movement itself is battery-powered.

I gave this watch to my husband for Christmas. He likes it. The sharp look and large dial were just what he wanted. What the product descriptions don't say is that the wearer of this watch needs to wear it often for it to keep correct time (it is mostly powered by the movement of the wearer). My husband wears his old watch to work and wears this one when he/we go out. It usually has the wrong time or is slow because he doesn't wear it often enough. This is a nice green feature, but is a bit frustrating.
