Fossil - Automatic March 9, 2008 Jamie D. Johnson (Denver, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After owning this watch for a little while now, I am pleased with the look and feel of this piece. I must remind you this an automatic, so you have to reset the time and date if you don't wear it often. It is a big piece but again is very comfortable. The 1 thing that the pictures don't show is the spinning bearing lining the inside of the watch, this is very attractive and makes the watch even more stunning.
Extremely high quality watch for the money. All stainless with a Japanese Automatic Movement. September 5, 2007 R. Bornstein 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is deliberately designed as a large watch. If you want something delicate to go with a classic business suit this really isn't for you. If you like a stylish substantial timepiece you should be satisfied. The quality of the workmanship and materials are remarkable for the price. The quality and heft of the stainless and thick crystal are very nice, but it is the pairing with the quality Japanese movement that makes this a very worthwhile purchase. The movement is made by Citizen under its Miyota label. If you search online you'll find numerous reviews of this movement which is highly sought after by those who want a high quality and reliable automatic watch that is affordable. It is not surprising that it is coveted because it is one of the only true Japanese automatic movements still on the market. Many automatic watch collectors who own a Rolex and an Omega will also own a watch with this movement in it. The remaining automatic watches on the market either have Chinese movements, which are generally dreadful, or Swiss movements, which run the range from great to incredible and will set you back an arm and a leg or an arm and a leg and a second mortgage on the house.
Good but avoidable May 12, 2007 S. Mohan (GA, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thought this is a smaller lighter watch, but I realized upon receiving that it is bulky as hell. I stopped wearing watches for years and this watch was one that I liked after many years. I would say that watch looks and feels great. I love metal especially dull-finish steel, and grey fits very well in the color scheme. If this watch was smaller it would have looked so much nicer. Being big means that it loses its charm. Like a huge nike swoosh would look ordinary whereas small one will be far more chic.
Anyhow, coordinating shipping with fossil is a big hassle as Amazon simply withdraws itself from touching the shipping issue. U cannot track the package with Fossil-Amazon website.
IMPRESSIVE March 26, 2007 Eileen P. Kaercher (New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this watch as a retirement gift for someone, and everyone was very impressed! It's even better-looking in person. Even though it is a little bit on the heavy side, the automatic movement is wonderful - no batteries to change. If you want to make a statement ("Here I am, look at me!") this watch certainly fits the bill.
