2 out of 5 stars A REAL BUYER   September 26, 2008

We got this stroller based on the review.
For tall people- this stroller still is not high enough. MY HUSBAND DID KICK THE WHEEL and he still has to hunch over slightly. I think there are not too many out there that is made right for tall people though. My Husband is 6ft tall. We have the Britax preview which was purchase to go with the Britax companion carseat and it is same height. I would say the Britax was much safer too. This stroller is built with a few quality product but the design seems to be a bit complicated for easy usability.

I would in no way compare this to a high end stroller. It is not bad but it is no where near the Maclaren or Peg perego. When it is up then it really does not offer lots of protection on the side for your little ones. The picture here seems to make it look pretty deep but it is in a recline position. The stroller does not open like many stroller where there is one lever to push and lock it. It is a 2 process which involves you pushing your feet on a thimble like knob and then another lever to lock it. A bit cumbersom for parents with lots of things to handle.

We received on where the harness was way too short. Our baby is 8 months about 25 pds and we loosen the harness all the way and it is snug. This is a defect becuase there is no way that someone would make a harness that short. We called and they state they are sending us an extension kit which they did find was an issue with some of the few sent out. After waiting one week no extension kit. WE ALSO COULD NOT GET STROLLER TO CLOSE PROPERLY. IT WILL NOT COLLAPSE EASILY BACK INTO SHAPE. IN ANY CASE IT WAS TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE TO DEAL WITH ALL THE ISSUES AND WE ARE WANTING TO JUST SEND IT BACK. HAD TO FILE WITH AMAZON BECAUSE STROLLERBABIES AND KEEKAROO UNWILLING TO ISSUE CALL TAG TO GET THE DEFECTIVE STROLLER BACK

Overall, I would not reccomend it to you if you are comparing it to good decent highend stroller. No where close to those and don't put yourself through the hassle like I have.
It is a nice color and was very easy to assemble but it is not one where I would bounce out of my seat like some of these other previews.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Stroller   July 24, 2008

I have nothing but good things to say about this stroller. I originally bought an expensive travel system, but as our baby got older and could sit up, I wanted something easier to haul around for quick trips to the mall, etc. This stroller is so good, it lives in my car and I very rarely use our main stroller anymore, even for longer trips.

It folds down flat (is quite long folded but should still fit in most trunks without trouble), is easy to open and fold, and best of all, our baby seems very content in it.

The seat is nice and deep so his legs (at 7 1/2 months old) are mostly straight out in front of him, which he seems to like.

The buckle on the 5 point harness looks a bit mickey mouse, but works just fine, and the harness keeps him secure.

The suspension is great...smooth across bumpy cracked parking lots.

For a lightweight, it's comfortable to push -- I'm tall (5' 11") and I have to hunch just a bit, but much less than I would with any other umbrella-style stroller. I've never kicked the wheels.

The gear basket is a decent size and the accessories pocket on the back is perfect for keys, phone, sunglasses and a small wallet.

Great sun canopy -- we have a lot of sun here so that was important.

I couldn't be happier with this stroller. I was nervous when I bought it because there weren't many reviews yet, but I am so glad I took a chance on it. It really is great value for money. It also looks good -- I've had a few compliments on it.

5 out of 5 stars High End without the Big Price Tag!   May 27, 2008

First of all, I am blown away by your fast shipping! My impression, even from the box, was that of high-end design. (Maybe it was that the Keekaroo logo and name are similar to that on the Bugaboo packaging?) Regardless, even if someone were to associate the name with Bugaboo, that would be a very positive mental link. I unpacked and assembled the entire stroller in 5 minutes, without consulting the manual.

My initial impressions were "Wow." The quality of the fabrics, the sturdiness of the metal & frame, the size of the wheels struck me instantly. My next thought was, "How are they charging under $200 for this Keekaroo stroller, when it is nicer than any Maclaren I've ever seen?!" (With Maclaren charging more than 2x what you are).

I LOVE the handle height, as will my husband who is 6'4". I love that the child sits much higher than a Maclaren, so the child is easier for Mom & Dad to reach. (Have you ever tried to pull a Maclaren up to a dining table of any sort?!?) I actually had to use my son's old Maclaren this morning while I took my daughter to the mall when he was at school . . . I can't wait to go again with my new Keekaroo Karoo!

I love the braking mechanism -- so much sturdier and easier than the Maclaren "each wheel" lever, which is really tricky to catch when you are in a hurry. The front-wheel position lock mechanisms were also very easy, though a bit sticky out of the box. The suspension is something that the lower-end Maclarens' (which retail for more than yours) do not even have, I believe.

I am also VERY impressed by the seat recline -- most umbrella strollers are strings or a weak center bar, which I was never convinced would hold. This seat will clearly hold in position. The seat itself is large and roomy. My 3.5 year old took a quick ride and there was PLENTY of space for him. This stroller would actually be a great option for an older child who's gotten tired walking at Disney World, the mall, etc. The seat itself is also remarkably "cushiony" for a lightweight stroller.

All in all, what can I say? I would expect to pay between $[...] for this stroller, compared with all the other strollers we've owned. This is much better.
