It's so lightweight even your child can carry it. View larger. | Safe, Comfortable Bedtime on the Go The PeaPod P201 is a lightweight sleeping tent, which comes with an inflatable air mattress to keep your child's bedtime comfortable. An air pump is included. The mattress fits snugly inside the sleeping tent "pod," which features a wraparound mesh canopy with a wide, zippered opening to give parents quick and easy access, or to allow an older child to crawl in and out easily. Your child can nap in comfort outdoors, thanks to the canopy's UV protection and to a wide windscreen. The pod also includes a washable sleeping bag that can double as a sleeping pad. Travel Light The last thing you need while you're traveling with a baby or young child is to lug a lot of extra luggage around. Rather than packing a Pack'n'Play or a folding bassinet, which are cumbersome and heavy, simply pack the ultra-light, super-compact PeaPod away in your suitcase. At 19 x 6.5 x 19 inches (LxWxH) when closed, it takes up little space, and it comes with a carrying case for easy portability. And at 52.5 x 34 x 25 inches (LxWxH) when open, the PeaPod will take up little space once you reach your destination. The PeaPod is also designed to open and fold shut quickly and easily. Other than the included air pump for quickly inflating the small mattress, no tools are needed: simply follow the directions to "snap" it into its standing position, and fold it back down quickly when finished. So whether you're traveling across the country, making a weekend trip to the beach, or simply spending the day at a friend's house, the PeaPod Portable Travel Bed makes it super-easy and convenient for baby to sleep comfortably and safely while on the go.

Super lite-weight & portable! December 28, 2008 J. Batting (Rosetown, SK) I have a two year old that can climb out of the playpen, so that's no longer an option for travel. I found this online and love it! I'm ordering another for my 1 year old because it is so much better than a play pen. It's so light that my 2 year old can carry it! Set up in 5 seconds! And what kid doesn't like to sleep in a tent - so fun! The inflatable matress is softer than the hard bottom of the play pen, it is 20 times smaller than a play pen and 50 times lighter than a playpen. I'm a pretty picky mother, but this product definately gets 5 stars.
I love this tent. If only my son did, too. December 16, 2008 Reenie (Dominican Republic) This little tent is genius, I wish I'd used this instead of a pack n' play when my son - now 2 - was younger and couldn't complain about where he was sleeping. It's light and compact for travel, it sets up in a flash (literally, you just toss the thing on the floor and it sets itself up like something out of Looney Toons), it's safe, it's attractive, and keeps out light and bugs. Brilliant. If I HAD to complain about something, I'd say that for light/fussy sleepers like my kid, even the sound of zipping the tent would startle him awake. PLus, as someone else has mentioned: he CAN get out of the tent on his own, so you have to be extra careful about child-proofing whatever area your child is sleeping in, just in case he gets out in the wee hours of the morning and goes exploring. UNfortunately for me, my kid refuses to sleep in it. Ah well. Still, we'll keep it set up in his room in the hopes that as he ages, he'll become less finicky.
Great product but not for my son December 12, 2008 Kamini Yadav (Boston) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product is great, very easy to handle and is perfect when you go hiking or to the beach or to the park. The only problem is that my son does not like to be inside or under anything. So I can never make him sleep or even sit inside the travel bed for more than 5 min. I think he is just a different boy with a different personality. One more thing, my son is one year old and is a very tall boy for his age(33 inches) and I was glad to see the size of portable bed because he does not fit in most of the portable beds we got earlier. I may not be using this product for my son but keeping it and hoping my next baby will like it because it certainly is very light weight, portable bed, looks very comfy and cozy that most of the kids would like.
This bed is a lifesaver for vacations with toddlers! December 12, 2008 Theresa Wells (Northern Virginia) We took our 2 year old on a Carribean vacation. She had never slept in a Peapod before our trip, and it worked like a dream. Since you can zip the tent closed, we didn't worry about her wandering around at bed time or nap time. I would highly recommend this. We even use it at home now for nap time because she likes it so much.
Buyer beware! Loud zipper, difficult to put down sleepy baby November 25, 2008 tc (Berkeley, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the stupidest product for three reasons:
1. You have to get down on your knees and lean down to put your baby in, by which time that baby's probably woken up (my three month old always did)
2. The zipper is really loud, if you want to avoid your baby rolling out and want to zip it up. The zipper sound always freaked out my baby
3. You're not supposed to zip it up when the baby is asleep in it unsupervised anyway. Unzipped, my baby rolled out after ten minutes.
This is good as a tent, if you're at a picnic and you plan to be watching the baby. However, it is NOT good as a pack and play substitute.
