Product Description Summer Infant Play Safe Play Yard The Summer Infant Play Safe Play Yard is very similar to baby gates. It is a free standing play area which keeps childs in an enclosed area, but is wide enough to provide space to play. Like other baby safety gates which are free standing it provides a wide area of space for child to play in. The play yard is easy to transport as well with a carry handle for easy portability. The Summer Infnat Play Safe Play Yard features six 32 in. wide panels so child doesn't fall out.
Amazon.com Product Reviews
The Summer Infant Secure Surround gate is a convenient way to carve out a playing space inside and outside of the house. The 30-inch tall and 32-inch wide durable plastic panels provide 18.5 square feet of play space. Remove two panels (from six to four) to use as a smaller play area or to partition "off limits" objects around the house. It is easy to assemble, and once set up, the surround gate was sturdy and sound, and the walk-through gate swings both ways for quick access. Fold up the panels and use the handle to carry and transport, just make sure you have a little muscle. --Scott Teal

Love, love, love it!!! January 9, 2009 Daycaremommy (Cody, WY United States) I purchased this play yard with the extension kit for my home daycare. I have 2 crawlers and one very active 18 month old. I needed something that would be large enough for 2-3 kids to play in while I am changing diapers, making meals, cleaning up etc. I love the fact that this play yard is tall! The 18 month old is trying to climb out of everything, and he doesn't even attempt to climb this!!! It is nice and sturdy and I love the gate feature. That is essentially why I chose this brand over a different brand, because of the gate, and I am so glad I did! The reason I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because the directions were a little hard to follow about adding the extension panels, and the panels took a little work to attach. But, I figured it out and it works beautifully! It only takes a couple of minutes to set up, and take down is just as quick and simple. I don't know how I ever got along without it!!
Summer Infant Play Yard January 9, 2009 Natasha Hollinden (Versailles, KY) This product was purchased to protect our Christmas tree from our two puppies. It worked great. It is easy to move and to open and close. We were missing some safety caps when it arrived but it has not affected the function of it. Now with our third child on the way I am sure we will be using it more. We have taken the sections apart and used just two or three of them to section off parts of the house from the dogs and that has worked well too.
Very good - Indoor Baby Fence January 7, 2009 Kelly Butler (Nashvile, Tn) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There is no getting around that fact that you are putting a 6 sided fence in your living room with this product. But- until they make force fields, this is the most aesthetic its going to get next to netted walls. I have no complaints. I just have to stop thinking of it as baby prison.
Saved my floor! January 7, 2009 K. Anekney (Ohio, USA) This has been such a great investment. I have an older small dog who has started to have an occasional accident on the floor and a younger small dog who is just rotten when we leave. I had tried just shutting the older dog in a room but he scratched on the door and door frame and really done some damage being nervous. This has allowed them to be secure without so much stress. I would recommend this to anyone with a pet... Great investment. Summer Infant Secure Surround Play Safe Play Yard
Doesn't need to be made so poorly - not worth the money January 5, 2009 Thomas Tomchak (Wheaton, IL USA) To get right to it, it's crap. it's made very poorly, it can easily be flipped over by a child that is able to stand and lean on one side of it, and it is very easy for a child to reshape and move it across the room. On two occasions our 11 month old twins were able to flip it over on it's side and come close to getting very hurt (there were more stunned then anything, and OK).
While we don't leave them unattended in the gate very often, it has become clear that even a few minutes is a bad idea. Even if we only put one of them in there we have the same problems.
I just can't believe a company would put this out knowing it's so poorly crafted. Personally, I would be ashamed. I do not recommend this product. I know others have had success, but I'm just not happy with it. I can't see it even lasting more then 6 months.
