Product Description Why fumble with CDs when you can play your iPod in the car on virtually any FM radio station? Now you can do that and keep your iPod charged at the same time with iCarPlay Wireless Plus. Programmable, backlit station presets make it fast and easy to set and change stations on the go. With some other FM transmitters, finding an FM frequency clear enough to play your iPod through can be tough especially while driving through different areas and terrain. But since you can tune iCarPlay Wireless Plus to almost any FM station, you have full FM tuning flexibility in getting the best sound, free of interference. Simply tune your car radio to any clear FM station, tune iCarPlay Wireless Plus to the same station, hit play on your iPod and you're ready to roll. Change presets any time you need a clearer station. For added flexibility and convenience, Monster Smart Digital Charging technology rapidly charges your iPod, and then switches to a trickle charge to optimize its performance. Good quality, simple to use January 8, 2009 James H. Lyons (Greensboro, NC USA) I bought one of these as a Christmas gift. We tried it out with a 3rd gen (I think) iPod Nano driving between two cities an hour apart in Connecticut, once we found an empty channel with a little empty space around it (xx.3 - xx.7, using xx.5), it worked very clearly for the whole trip. It's really nice that it charges/powers the iPod while using it, so you don't have to worry about the battery. The included instructions are clear and short, no need for complex explanations. I have used Griffin and Belkin products before (that hook into the headphone jack) and they just don't compare to the audio quality of this Monster transmitter. The dock connector is a little catchy when removing from the iPod, but not enough to actually be a problem. This is a great product and I have already recommended it to a couple of people.
iPod touch 2G users BEWARE January 8, 2009 Roxana Sepiol (Richardson, TX USA) Although easy to setup, this product is NOT compatible with the iPod touch 2G as the product description states. It will NOT charge your iPod touch 2G while in use as it claims, and you will see a message flash on your iPod stating the product cannot be used to charge your iPod. If it would charge, the product is not worth it because the reception is very poor, with much static and interference by the radio station(s)' broadcasts, intermittently playing the iPod song and the radio broadcast. Attempted to use this product in a 2003 Cadillac Deville DHS w/OnStar.
ICAR adapter January 8, 2009 Linda L. Bassett (Palm Beach Gardens FL) This was a great deal on the ICAR adapter. I had purchased the exact item through a retail store a year or so ago for twice the price so was very happy with this item from amazon.
its quite okey January 6, 2009 Merlyn Billena (Peoria, AZ) at first i really like to have one now i got it, its not really useful for me,most of the times its really statickyy that it annoys you, mostly in urban areas. just get a speaker that plug and play in the house or in the office its better that way with good reception.
Very Good Product January 6, 2009 Billy Carder (Kentucky, USA) Very Good product, tried similar cheaper FM transmitters but don't waste your time. They don't work and most don't let you choose the channel to transmit over, they have 3-4 preset you must choose from which is No good in my area, the locals still overide. This transmits clear unless you get really close to a local transmiter but then you can just tune to another station.......
