5 out of 5 stars Solid skates for average joe   October 1, 2008

Perspective: I consider myself a little above the average joe in terms of fit, health and athletic level.

I did spend a little time doing extensive research before purchasing this skates taking into considerations my needs for exercise, lesiure skating, and experience level. The skate is a little pricier than others but is worth it. I have enjoyed using the skates so far.

The skates seems very well made and has nice features like the soft boots, the easy to slip on strings, clips and straps. I used to rollerblade in college so getting back into this skate was fun and made me realized how much I lost many of the skating skills. The skates is relatively fast and in my opinion for novice it might be too fast. I've used it for exercises and playing with my kids (skating while they're riding their bikes). I recommend wrist pads @ the mininum if you end up buying this or any other skates. I typically will use just wrist pads or wrist and knee pads depending on my mood and speed I plan on going.

I haven't used it often or long enough to determine the wear and tear based on normal usage but the quality of the skates so far is very good. I can see myself using this for a few more years.
